Mary’s Home Renovation Begins

On May 24th, the Mary’s Home project and capital campaign took a big leap forward.

Joseph’s Home, along with contractor Regency Construction Services and architect Bialosky Cleveland, have started the renovations that will create Mary’s Home. The project is taking a former daycare and school and renovating it to meet the recuperative care needs of the women we will serve. The renovation will take approximately six months. As is evidenced in photos below, Regency Construction has demolished and removed elements of the building that needed replaced, and Mary’s Home is already starting to take shape.

Seeing this project – this dream of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine – come to life is so exciting to Joseph’s Home staff and board. It is because of the generosity of many that Joseph’s Home and the Mary’s Home project have reached this milestone. A list of contributors to the Mary’s Home Capital Campaign can be found here. Together, we are opening the doors to women experiencing homelessness who have had nowhere to turn when they needed a place to heal and recuperate.
